Master Sitan Chen.jpg

Master Chen Sitan

is the first person to win the Triple Crown event in Taiji-the Chinese National, Asian Games, and The World Championship.  The current International 42 competition instructional video uses his performance as the model and guideline for all Taiji competitors.

He was elected as one of the Top 100 Chinese Wushu Masters, and he was also named on the 37 Most Influential Taiji Figures in China.  His popularity has won over Taiji practitioners all around the world, and he is recognized as the “Prince of Taiji”. He is the founder of New York Tai Chi Competition and New York Tai Chi Health Qigong Event Day.

Master Chen’s seminar will focus on the details of the 42-competiton routines. Participants of all ages are welcome, but it is recommended that students have already studied and are familiar with the 42-competition routine.  Master Chen will work with students on details that will improve their performances while providing a deeper understanding of the routine itself.

Grand Master Hoy Lee.jpg

Grand Master Hoy Lee

When I asked Grand Master Hoy Lee for a short bio for this seminar event, he replied “Chris, I am not a writer. I act and I do”.  He is a low-key and humble person, so he will probably not tell you that he was friends with Bruce Lee or that he was awarded the titles of Living Legend, Outstanding Master and American Treasure by a variety of organizations.  His students have performed for President Jimmy Carter at the White House and at several foreign embassies.  He has also taught White House Special Security staff and at various police departments.

From knowing him for four decades, I can also say that you can tell a lot about his character from the people associated with him. His children and students are highly skilled in Kung Fu, and they are also genuinely polite and poised. Their actions reflect the Grand Master’s teachings.

Grand Master Hoy Lee is also the founder of the Jow Ga Kung Fu Federation in the US. This system is recognized as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage” by the Chinese government. The Jow Ga Kung Fu system precisely incorporates elements from Hung Ga, Choy Ga, and Bak Siu Lum, creating just the right combination of fluidity, speed, and devastating stopping power for which this unique fighting system is best known.

In this seminar, Grand Master Hoy Lee will expand your understanding and practice of Southern-style Kung Fu by teaching you how to apply its most practical short and long techniques as well as the dynamic power of the striking force.
