Chris Zebrowski and Greg Holden coordinated a collection for Toys for Tots and a Holiday Celebration on December 11, 2021. Thanks to Tasha, Bruce’s wife, who spent a lots of time and energy to bake this edible dragon for the party. We appreciate her talent and time and Bruce’s careful transportation to the party.
Sankt Nikolaus special assistant filled up his bag today with all of the toys. They are now on their way to Belsnickel, a crotchety, fur-clad Christmas gift-bringer figure in the folklore of this region (Baden-Württemberg) of Germany, for delivery to all of the good boys and girls on Christmas Eve (Heiliger Abend). According to tradition, the gift-bringer delivers the presents when the children are waiting outside the family room. A bell will be rung for children to step inside the room, where the family will then sing carols before the bescherung (opening of gifts) begins. Because of your incredible generosity there will be many happy kids this holiday season!
