The US Challenge, an international competition in Wushu, Kung Fu, Taiji and Other Internal, to be held on August 10th and 11th, 2024 in Lanham MD, has been approved by the United States of America Wushu Kungfu Federation (USAWKF) to be part of the USAWKF Kung Fu Supplemental Team Trial.  The US Challenge is one of several competitions that can be used to qualify for the USAWKF Traditional Team Trial.

 

The Kung Fu Team Trial is an add-on event to the regular US Challenge individual competitions, requiring no additional competitive performances. Instead, your regular competition forms will determine your qualification for the team.

 

When you compete in the Challenge or Elite Wushu Divisions, in Wushu, Kung Fu, Taiji  or Other Internal events and score in any event over 8.0 then you are qualified to be part of the USAWKF Kung Fu Team. 

 

You are then eligible to represent the USA in the World Kungfu Championships in 2025 in Emeishan, Sichuan, China.  You must be a US Citizen or permanent resident to represent the USA.

 

When you register for the Challenge Division or the Elite Wushu Division you select "Yes, I am trying out for the Kung Fu Team Trial".  If you are not a member of the USAWKF then after registration for the US Challenge, go to the USAWKF website to register to become a member for your team trial qualification.

If you qualified for the US Kungfu Team in the 2023, you do not need to qualify again in 2024 to be eligible 10th World Kungfu Championship in Emei Mountain, China in 2025.
